Volunteering opportunities

Throughout the year there will be opportunities to volunteer at the University's Forest and Peatland sites. Local residents, community groups, students and staff are welcome. Opportunities can be found on this page, which will be regularly updated.

Upcoming opportunities

Check out the current opportunities below, it's a great opportunity to get involved, learn new skills, meet new people and help nature.

Join us to plant sticky catchfly and common rock rose, which are locally important plants. We are working with Scottish Wildlife Trust Stirling and Clackmannanshire Local Group to increase the populations of these two plants.

On Friday we will have a full day activity (10am-3pm) which involves walking over very rough ground on a slope. On Saturday will be a half day (10am-1pm) in a more accessible location. The activity will involve carrying plants and tools, walking on informal paths and rough ground and surveying the existing plants.

If you would like to come along, please make sure you register using the form below.

(Please note some of our IT systems are currently being upgraded, so the sign up form may look different to previous forms and you may be asked to verify your email address.
